Tashkent (Uzbekistan): President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to France on 8-9 October 2018. This was reported by the press service of the head of Uzbekistan.
During the visit, talks are scheduled between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The head of Uzbekistan will also hold a meeting with representatives of leading companies and financial institutions in France.
The presidents of the two countries will discuss development of political dialogue, expansion of practical cooperation in trade, economic and financial spheres, joint implementation of investment projects in various sectors, as well as intensification of cultural and humanitarian exchanges between two countries.
Following the meetings and negotiations, Uzbekistan and France plan to sign more than 10 intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents, including agreements on cooperation in the fields of economy and finance, transport, tourism, ecology, culture and art, a program of cooperation between foreign ministries and others.
The head of Uzbekistan will also meet with the Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Audrey Azoulay.
The parties will discuss prospects for deepening the partnership between Uzbekistan and UNESCO. During the meeting, a joint Action Plan for 2018-2021 will be signed.
