The Military Medical Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and the US Army are co-hosting the Asia-Pacific Military Health Exchange 2018 in China, focusing on “strengthening global health”. The event, which is held for the first in China, was opened in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province.
General Song Puxuan, head of China’s Central Military Commission’s Logistics Support Department, said at the conference that China is looking forward to cooperating with countries from Asia-Pacific to promote the development of military medical services. In addition, deputy director of the department Li Qingjie stressed that countries from the Asia-Pacific should build a community of shared future for mankind.
The event is held from September 17 to 21 and is attended by 500 delegates from 28 countries, and international organizations such as the United Nations (UN) and the International Red Cross.
It is reported that some 200 symposiums related to medical services will be held during the conference. And China will exhibit the latest military medical equipment at the conference.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
