Tashkent (Uzbekistan): A meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Yerik Utembayev was held at the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, the diplomat became acquainted with the development of ICT in the country. It was noted that the leadership of the country constantly pays special attention to this issue.
Ambassador Yerik Utembayev told about the attention paid to the development of ICT in the Republic of Kazakhstan. He noted that “Digital Kazakhstan” state program was adopted in Kazakhstan, which will be implemented in 2018-2022.
The sides noted with satisfaction that close and mutually beneficial cooperation has been established between the two communication administrations in ICT. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have great potential for development of cooperation.
At the meeting, views were exchanged on intensification of cooperation in various areas of information technologies. Interest was expressed in mutual attraction of companies in projects for development of the digital economy.
