Tashkent (Uzbekistan): Uzbekistan marks the Day of Remembrance and Honor on 9 May 2018. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is taking part in the festive events taking place in Tashkent.
At first the head of Uzbekistan visited the Memory Square and laid a wreath at the foot of the monument of the Sorrowful Mother. He paid tribute to the memory of our compatriots who died in the World War II, the press service of the head of state said.
Participants and invalids of the World War II were given monetary awards and gifts on behalf of the President. The conditions have been created for them to visit their battlegrounds and relax for free in sanatoriums.
Material and moral support to veterans of World War II and the labor front, the families of servicemen and law enforcement officers, who died in the line of duty in the years of independence, were also provided.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
