At least one people was killed and 22 others slightly injured in a train sideway collision accident in the Upper Styrian station Niklasdorf in south central Austria on Monday afternoon, local media reported.
According to the police, the accident is called flank collision between two trains, which collided sideways, leading to the casualties.
A female passenger, whose citizenship yet to be confirmed, died in the accident. The rescue operation was completed around 2:30 p.m. local time. The injured passengers were taken to nearby hospitals.
The reason of the accident is still under investigation. But a derailment may be blamed.
