It is now more or less certain that The Kapil Sharma Show might be facing the axe from the channel for its ever-dropping TRPs. Talks about the show’s failure have been doing the rounds for a long time but recently, after most of his team members moved on to a rival show, we have heard that Kapil Sharma has been kept on notice. If his ratings doesn’t improve, then he is surely going to get the axe.
But despair not, we have also heard some good news about him. The good news is that Kapil is being majorly wooed by online video platforms who are ready to pay big bucks to have him on their sites. Sources say that Kapil Sharma is also considering coming to a platform where the company will pay him money to acquire his show and then stream it to mobile phones.
Then the show might be aired on television later on, at least an hour after it has been streamed online. We heard that there were at least three meetings last week regarding the same. “Even though Comedy Nights…. doesn’t shift to an online platform, you can be sure that Kapil Sharma will come online with a different format of comedy. There have been several meetings about it,” said a source.
