The president called for close alignment of the Belt and Road Initiative with Hungary’s Eastern Opening policy and enhanced top-level planning for all-round cooperation.

China is willing to work with Hungary to continuously promote cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), and enhance the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the European Union (EU), Xi said.
Orban said Hungary is willing to work with China to carry forward the comprehensive strategic partnership.
Speaking highly of China’s economic and social development, and progress made in the country’s poverty alleviation in particular, Orban said China’s market economy status is indisputable.
