PESHAWAR: Former Prime Minister and PPP leader Yousaf Raza Gillani Sunday said that the Pakistan Peoples Party wants early mergers of FATA into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure provision of fundamental rights of tribals.
This he said while addressing a public meeting in Dir Lower organized in connection with the death anniversary of Shaheed Zahir, who was killed along with four workers on May, 7, 2013 in a remote-controlled bomb blast at Babagam Maidan during electioneering for his brother.
Former Provincial Minister Mehmood Zeb, former MPA Muhammad Zamin, Mujahid and Alam Zeb and hundreds and thousands of party workers were also present during the public meeting.
Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani said the PPP had survived against all odds and excesses.
Z.A. Bhutto, he said, fought for the rights of people.Despite knowing the threats to her life, Benazir Bhutto had returned to Pakistan and was determined to continue her journey for democracy.
