Army Chief stated that despite internal security challenges, they were fully prepared to respond to threats on the eastern border. “Our freedom is an outcome of the sacrifices”, he added.
While praising the bravery and valor of Pak Army soldiers, he said that making sacrifice for the protection of the nation was the most superior act. He expressed pride in the soldiers for defending the country despite difficult weather conditions.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Qamar Bajwa also met the stakeholders in Gilgit Baltistan and said that he supports provision of rights for the people there.
Earlier, he was welcomed by the Rawalpindi Corps Commander Lieutenant General Nadeem Raza in Skardu.
