Chen Chuangen, deputy mayor of Suizhou city in Central China’s Hubei province, has been charged with bribery by Jingmen City People’s Procuratorate in Hubei, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate revealed on Sunday.
Prosecutors have brought the case to the Jingmen city Intermediate People’s Court and the court hearing will be held at a later date.
According to the indictment, whilst serving as the director of the Suizhou city publicity department and as deputy mayor, Chen abused power to gain benefits for other people on engineering projects and accepted significant bribes.
