LAHORE: The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s executive committee Najam Sethi on Tuesday said the board would everything it can for Shahid Afridi, but that it cannot ‘disturb’ the professionalism of the team to include him.
Sethi suggested that there is a need to have a meeting with Afridi to discuss matters properly.
He said that PCB chairman Shahryar Khan, Coach Mickey Arthur, and PCB selectors have recommended not to “disturb” the team.
“There’s a new captain, the team is moving in a new direction. We don’t want to influence that, we can’t disturb everyone and include Afridi,” he said.
“We are planning for Afridi. It won’t be charity. There are more good things to come, you’ll be very pleased,” he said.
