In his address, the PTI chairman said that he would announce an important decision today.
He said that he is thankful to the women present in the gathering because they came for the sake of their country.
The PTI chief made a jibe at the PM’s open heart surgery saying, “Nawaz Sharif you don’t have a heart problem, you have a stomach problem.”
‘Nation wants justice’
Imran Khan mentioned Panama leaks, saying that they are not allegations but evidence in itself.
“I question the accountability bodies, don’t they see this?” he said. He criticised the Chairman NAB saying that he is holding the position on the basis of nations’ money.
Imran Khan inquired why the Federal Investigation Agency did not start the investigations. “I respectfully ask the Supreme Court that the nations wants justice,” said Imran.
He alleged that Nawaz Sharif made properties on her daughter’s name. “Billions are being embezzled, where is NAB?” he said.
He said hinting at the PM’s residence that 600 million rupees of public’s money is invested on the walls of it.
He said that 850 billion rupees are spent on the security of Jati Umrah.
“White House has half the staff that serves at Jati Umrah,” said Imran Khan.
Imran lambasts defence minister
“Khawaja Asif said that people will forget everything; they won’t, I will not let them,” said Imran.
He said that Khawaja Asif should feel ashamed.
Imran sends message to Modi
Imran Khan in a message directly aimed at Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he should pay heed that the entire nation is united.
Imran Khan said that Modi in a meeting with him agreed to solve the issue through talks. He said that there’s no bigger lie than blaming the current situation in Kashmir on Pakistan.
He said that Narendra Modi disappointed the Indian nation.
He said that Nawaz Sharif did not make a speech at the United Nations eloquently.
He said that the support for Kashmiris will continue diplomatically and politically. He added that he is not in favor of wars.
Imran Khan reached the venue of protest earlier, accompanied by Shah Mehmood Qureshi and others.
Earlier, Awami Muslim League leader Shaikh Rasheed addressed the rally in Raiwind.
“Imran Khan even we are tired of coming every now and then,” said Rasheed.
He said that whenever there is an anti-government protest, there are warnings of attacks.
An incident of a woman’s harassment was also witnessed earlier at the venue of the protest. The woman was escorted out of the spot to safety later on.
PTI leader Jahangir Tareen was also nearby when the incident was taking place.
Preparations for PTI’s Raiwind March today were in full swing. The stage has been set and workers have begun arriving at the venue.
Road blockades have forced over 150 private and public schools to close down. School owners at Adda Plot claimed that they called off classes after receiving phone calls from the education department.
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Zaeem Qadri said that foolproof security arrangements had been made for Imran Khan’s “circus”, a name which he gave to the rally.
Speaking to the media he said, “Imran Khan wants to play his film and divert the attention of the nation from other pressing issues.”
He added that the rally faced terrorist threats. “Enemies of the country are looking to sabotage Operation Zarb-e-Azb.”
He added that the government had focused its energies to deal with India.
The PTI’s Raiwind march has received a lot of flak from the ruling PML-N. Workers and supporters of the PML-N have been holding demonstrations against the march on Raiwind, saying they would protect the area which also includes the premier’s residence.
The PTI is holding the march to pressurizing the Prime Minister into coming out clean against allegations over offshore accounts linked to his family named in the Panama Papers.
