Speaking at a news conference in Karachi on Saturday, Sattar said that, despite permission, the party was being stopped from collecting hides, Zakat and Fitra for the last two years
He said that allegations would be leveled against the MQM during hide collection in previous years.
During the news conference at his residence, Sattar strictly directed MQM and Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation workers from collecting hides. Sattar said the MQM would also suspend welfare activities, and its charitable organisations would either be run by donations from philanhropists or that they would be given up for ‘adoption’.
The MQM collects sacrificial hides under its charitable organization Khidamat-e-Khalq Foundation.
