KARACHI: Sindh chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed officials concerned to complete cleanliness work in Karachi within next ten days.
While chairing a high level meeting in Karachi on Monday morning, he said the task is tough, however, believes that concerned officials are capable to meet the target.
Garbage is the biggest issue in Karachi, it could not be cleared within 48 hours, Murad Ali Shah told reporters after the meeting.
Earlier, Murad Ali Shah had given an ultimatum to the district municipal corporations to clear dumps within 48 hours.
The deadline was not paid heed to then and the metropolitan still struggles with cleanliness issues.
Murad Ali Shah, ever since he replaced Qaim Ali, is being seen taking notice of different issues faced by the people.
Last week, after a monsoon shower inundated roads and streets troubling commuters, CM Murad personally inspected the situation.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
