From Makhdoom Babar
QUETTA: Just as admitted by arrested RAW officer Kulbhushan Jadhev and right in accordance with the revelations made by the 6 NDS operators and a serving Afghan army officer that Indian intelligence RAW and Afghani intelligence NDS were running a mega terror network against CPEC in Baluchistan from Kandahar, Afghanistan, the said RAW-NDS nexus rocked Quetta, killing some 93 people through a combination of target killing and suicide bombing on Monday morning, registering a new history of terror tragedy in Pakistan.
In the backdrop of the confessions made by the arrested RAW officer Commander Kulbhushan Jadhev and in the light of the arrested NDS operators from Baluchistan , the intelligence agencies had issued red alert to provincial counter terrorism departments as it was established that RAW-NDS networks, being supervised by three top NDS Generals and RAW representatives, was following a robust plan of creating mega terror operations in Baluchistan to dent the CPEC development. Arrested RAW officer made these claims with the interrogating officials in March this year while the arrested NDS operators and an arrested serving officer of Afghan army vindicated the same before the investigators, saying that General Maalik, General Momin and General Rahim of the NDS were supervising the project while RAW representatives and Indias then Defense Attach at its embassy in Kabul Brigadier SK Nzaryan was also providing his input. In light of these developments, the intelligence components of the country had issued alerts to the Baluchistan authorities to take all possible security measures with perception of acute security threats to CPEC related projects and to improve the general law and order situation in the province. Alerts were also issued to extend special security mechanisms to the Chinese nationals in the area, working on CPEC projects. In the light of these alerts, Baluchistan government took maximum foolproof for overall security in the province with special focus on CPEC related developments and both local and foreign individuals, engaged to these projects.
It appears that after getting immensely frustrated by strong security measures taken by Baluchistan government and the military authorities, the perpetuators finally felt helpless in directly targeting CPEC related projects or individual but instead opted to go for a rasther softer target and thus, on Monday morning, following a well-though-out plan, a senior lawyer was gunned down by some unknown shooters on a busy road in Quetta and when other lawyers and media teams as well as senior officials reached the hospital and a reasonable crowd grew up there at the civil hospital Quetta where the body of slain lawyer was brough, a suicide bomber, planted outside emergency ward of the hospital, blew himself up. as a result, nearly 93 people were killed and some 60 got injured.
Following the incident, law enforcing authorities cordoned off the area and Commander Southern Command immediately rushed to the hospital. His visit was followed by the visit by Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif who immediately flew to Quetta after learning about the eventuality.
Later, Army Chief chaired a high level meeting at the Corps Headquarters that was also attended by DG Military Operations and DG Military Intelligence. The Army Chief was briefed that there were sufficient evidences indicating that the terror act was carried out to dent the CPEC development. COAS was also briefed that due to extraordinary measures taken for the security of CPEC projects and related individuals both local and foreign,, attackers could not target any of those but instead followed the plan to carry out a mega terror act to damage law and order situation to hamper CPEC development process.
Army Chief issued strict orders for launching combing operations through out the province in search of terror suspects and also to enhance the security at CPEC projects. He announced that the Monday attack was aimed at denting CPEC.
Later Prime Minister also reached Quetta. He also chaired a high level meeting at Governor House. After this meeting Chief Minister of Baluchistan, addressing the media said that the terror act was an act by RAW and there were enough evidences for it.Further investigations are underway.

Graphic video footage from the scene showed bodies strewn on the ground, some still smoking, among pools of blood and shattered glass as shocked survivors cried and comforted one another.
A large burn mark against white brick appeared to indicate where the explosion occurred.
Many of the dead were lawyers and journalists who had earlier gathered to cover a protest over the murder of Balochistan Bar Association president Bilal Anwar Kasi.
Aaj TV cameraman Shehzad, Dawn News cameraman Mehmood Khan and ex-BBA president Muhammad Kakar were among those killed in the incident, whereas, Dunya News reporter Faridullah was among the injured people.
Soon after the explosion, a heavy contingent of security personnel arrived at the hospital and cordoned off the blast site.
According to Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS), eight to nine kilograms of explosives were used in the attack.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to Bolan Medical Complex and other nearby hospitals.
Balochistan Bar Association President Bilal Anwar Kasi was gunned down in Quetta earlier today.
According to police, Kasis car came under attack on Manu Jan Road in the city. The assailants were riding a motorbike and could not be identified immediately.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for either the blast or the shooting. But militant groups in the province routinely target security forces and government installations.
Speaking to reporters, Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri blamed Indian intelligence agency Research & Analysis Wing (RAW) for involvement in the hospital blast.
He claimed that India is financially supporting terror elements to sabotage peace in the province.
I have the evidence of RAWs involvement in Quettas attack which I will share with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the foreign ministry, Zehri told a local news channel.
The Chief Minister also summoned a high-level meeting to discuss the security situation.
The provincial government has also announced a three-day mourning.
The blast is the second deadliest in Pakistan this year so far, after a bombing in Gulshan Iqbal Park in Lahore killed 75 people.
Pakistani hospitals have been targeted by militants previously.
In 2010 a bomb killed 13 people outside the casualty department of a hospital in Karachi in Sindh province, where victims of an earlier attack were being treated as anxious relatives gathered.
