Hearing on the plea was held in Additional District and Session Judge South Abdul Qudoos Memons court.
Victims brother Amir Jameel was also present in the court.
The suspects lawyer stated that investigation officers plea was inadmissible for hearing as the police went for media trial instead of interrogation.
He said that more than 30 days have passed whereas the interim challan has also been made therefore; there is no need for the remand and if granted would be illegal.
The lawyer requested the court to reject the plea.
The investigation officer argued that Rizwan helped Haleema to rent a house and abandoned her son Abdullah in Edhi centre.
