ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that for the verification of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), citizens would not be required to visit the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) offices.
The federal interior minister was addressing a press conference in Kalar Sayedan where he made statements regarding the federal governments earlier decision to re-verify all the CNICs within six months.
Nisar said only those with revoked CNICs will have to visit Nadra offices to get them verified.
Bilawal not a kid but politically immature
The interior minister, getting into a war of words with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, said that “he is not a child but politically unaware”.
The PPP chairman had earlier revealed in a tweet that Chaudhry Nisar wanted to become Prime Minister and had campaigned for it too but did not achieve success.
Responding to Bilawal’s statement, the federal minister said, “It is not mandatory to respond to every non-serious statement.”
Nisar said in a parliamentary form of government no one could replace a prime minister, adding that regardless of the PM’s absence or illness, the cabinet performs its functions.
