ISLAMABAD: Amid Panama Papers brouhaha, President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday stated that corrupt individuals should repent or otherwise they should be thrown out of the system.
“You will see, many people will be caught now,” he told a gathering.
Addressing a ceremony of Kotri Association of Trade and Industry in Kotri, President Mamnoon Hussain said thell corruption has adversely affected every institution of the country.
Now there is need to launch collective efforts to eliminate this menace, he said.
Mamnoon Hussain further said that completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project (CPEC) will transform Pakistan into a regional trade hub.
He said this CPEC envisages not only construction of motorways but also many power plants.
He said youth constitute 50 to 60% of the population and they should come forward in the fight against corruption.
Mamnoon Hussain said Central Asian States are also demonstrating interest in the CPEC and project will also generate hundreds of thousands of new job opportunities for the youth.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
