KARACHI: The Anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi sent Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch to jail after his 14-day remand in police custody expired on Wednesday.
Uzair Baloch had been held by the Rangers paramilitary force for 90-days. Upon expiry of his remand the accused was given into police custody for 14-days after a case was registered at the Nabi Bux police station regarding recovery of arms from Garden of Karachi.
The arms had been recovered after Baloch identified the spot where the cache was hidden, while in Rangers custody.
Baloch was transferred from the police station to the ATC under strict Rangers security, where the ATC judge ordered the accused to be sent to jail.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
