Islamabad: Minister of State Engr Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman has said that spending on proper education of the children is the best investment made by parents. He said this while addressing the 4th Annual Day of the Al Huda International School at Pak China Friendship Center Wednesday.
The minister congratulated the head of Al Huda International Dr Farhat Hashmi and her team for arranging the event in a befitting manner. “These children are our national asset so we should invest best of our resources on them to make them better educated human beings,” he said. Education and research both are necessary in our religion. So we should not just rely on the syllabus but we should encourage our children to research and explore different subjects, fields and ideas.
Minister of State said that we are trying to make Quranic education compulsory in all public schools after consulting all the provinces through the platform of IPEMC (Inter Provincial Education Ministers’ Conference).
Nazra Quran will be taught from class 1 to class 5th and proper Quranic taleem with translation will be taught to the students of class 6th to class 10th, said the Minister.
Minister of State also talked about the SDGs, decrease in dropout rate and increase in education budget etc on the occasion. He added that education scenario is improving in Pakistan and we all need to work together to make it even better. He admired the role played by the private schools in educating the young guns of Pakistan. In the end, the management of the Al Huda presented a souvenir to the minister.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
