BIRMINGHAM: Renowned British songwriter and singer Adele during one of her sold-out concerts at Birmingham on Tuesday, paid tribute to the victims of the horrific suicide blast in Lahore that claimed many lives.
The singer was performing at the Genting Arena in Birmingham when she asked the audience that comprised upon thousands of her die-hard listeners to hold their torches aloft in order to remember the sufferers of the tragic incident that occurred at the Gulshan Iqbal Park in Lahore and killed almost 74 people and left over 300 injured.
This was the singer’s one of four sold-out events that will take place at the same venue.
The world has expressed solidarity with the victims of the Lahore blast in different ways as various buildings across the world were lit-up in the colours of the Pakistani flag to show support along with condemnation of the incident by thousands on various social media platforms.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
