KOLKATA: Opener Mohammad Hafeez made an unbeaten 70 off 49 balls and left-arm spinner Imad Wasim grabbed 4 wickets to help Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 15 runs in their World Twenty20 warm-up here at Eden Gardens on Monday.
Batting first after they won the toss, Pakistan scored 157 runs for five wickets and later restricted Sri Lanka to 142 for nine.
Imad Wasim captured four wickets for 25 while left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Irfan claimed two for 18. Wahab Riaz took one wicket while Mohammad Amir could not take any wickets but only conceded 20 runs in his four overs.
Captain Shahid Afridi after getting a first-ball duck also failed to get any wickets, giving away 35 runs in his four overs.
Hafeez smashed 9 fours and a six after Afridi won the toss and decided to bat first.
