LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) has on Saturday termed the Punjab local body amendment ordinance as a black law. The party has decided to challenge it in court on Monday in collaboration with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
A high level meeting was presided over by PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain in which the party declared the local government amendment bill issued by Punjab government as black law. It was said in the meeting that the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) has no trust in its members, due to which the secret ballot rule has been ended. The members said that there are divisions within the ruling party throughout the province fearing which they have decided to bring in this black law, based on rigging.

He added that the leadership has decided to reorganize the party at union council level. He said that PML-Q will contest the next elections with a combination of new and old faces. He claimed that those who had left the party will return to the party soon.
