ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office (FO) has on Sunday confirmed the visits of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia and Iran. Pakistan has decided to play an active role in the resolution of the crisis between the two brotherly Islamic countries as a high level delegation is also scheduled to travel along with PM Nawaz Sharif.
Pakistan has decided to play an active role in this diplomacy because it enjoys cordial relations with both the countries. PM will go to Saudi Arabia on Monday and to Iran on Tuesday and FO has confirmed both the visits.
According to FO Spokesperson, PM will arrive in Saudi Arabia tomorrow along with a high level delegation and go to Tehran from Saudi Arabia the day after. He will discuss the regional and international issues with both the countries.
FO told that Pakistan is extremely concerned over the deteriorating relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. PM Nawaz Sharif is willing to play a role for lowering the tensions between the two counties and his act is in the greater interest of the Muslim world.
