Pakistani nation has been facing variety of challenges right from the creation of this Islamic republic. It continues to face attacks from the first door unscrupulous enemy with an amazing consistency. Sometimes these attacks are in shape of imposing an overt war and the other times these attacks come in shape of covert operations through cultural invasion or via the menace of terrorism. The Pakistani nation is suffering the last two forms in the current era and is fighting these blitzes out amicably with army taking the front role.
With sons of soil in Khaki are fighting the terror monster of terrorism through military operation Zarb-e-Azb, the other sons of the same soil are contributing equally to the same through their respective abilities in their respective spheres of life in the society. Some are coming up through conventional media exercises and some through their abilities in the field of poetry and artistry. Some are using the brush and the canvas and some are writing songs and rhymes and presenting the same in shape of videos to charge the emotions of the nation and forge immense unity against.
In 1965, when the enemy imposed an unprovoked war on Pakistani nation, it was the factor of the famous patriotic songs, sung by patriotic singers that changed the entire atmosphere and not only brought the entire nation together but also added strongly to the morale of the combating troopers. The songs like Aay Putar Hattan Tay Nai Wiqday and Way Mayrya Dhole Sipahiya, sung by late Madam Noor Jehan, were the lyrics that not only bonded the nation but also re-spirited the troops at the battle front.
Almost after fifty years, the Pakistani nation is facing the similar challenge, though it is in covert form and in form of organized terrorism, but the enemy is the same and the nation as well as troopers, fighting it out both needed same tonic to get re-energized. This time there is no Noor Jehan and the professional showbiz has gone so professional that it has refused to play its part in this direction and instead is busy in promoting the movies and dramas from the same origin where the terrorism is actually being sponsored and supported.
The situation came as a blessing in disguise as it gave pulled forward certain dazzling individuals to rune some extra miles to respond to the call of the motherland. Dr. Umair Haroon, a young TV Anchor and his companion Syed Mubashir Imam. These two individuals, despite having their afflictions with different media organizations, jumped into the arena on their own and came up with a marvelous project of orchestrating a national song titled “ Yeh Jang Bhi Huma Hee Jeetain Gey”, not only to pay homage to the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar but also to add to the national motivation and to energize the troops, engaged in mega anti terror operation. The song which was released in form of a video on the eve of the 1st anniversary of APS tragedy has reminded the nation of Noor Jehan’s ’65 war classics. The song, sing by country’s ace pop singer Ali Azmat, is a unique symbol of zeal and patriotism as the making of it very clearly reflects that there still are the sons of the soil who are determined to deliver to safeguard the nation in their respective capacities.
As mere lyrics are not enough in today’s era to clarify a narrative, the song has been showcased with such expressions and videodisc content that it pin points the root cause of the menace. At a time when our political leaders are showing extreme inabilities to clearly identify the real enemy and the hands behind the organized terrorism despite having all the proofs and evidences-backed intelligence report, the said video song crystal clearly indicates that it is the Indian government’s intelligence components that are behind the organizing, funding and patronizing the terror infrastructure across Pakistan and nexus of evil is expanded up to Afghanistan. This song has proved that even if the political leaders are reluctant to become the voice of the nation, the nation create its own voice. This song also proves that it is not the intelligence mechanism of the country that knows who is the enemy of the nation but the nation has itself started identifying the one. In a nutshell, this videoed song has come as a brief documentary where the facts speak for themselves and which very strongly supports the proverb that ‘When the facts speak, even the gods are silent.’ Hats off to these guys……Editor
