Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Maroof Afzal said all ongoing development projects would be completed within the stipulated time-frame.
Talking to media, Maroof Afzal said that civic body will utilize all available resources to complete Islamabad Highway expansion project (signal-free corridor) at the earliest.
He said that during the next phase of the expansion of Islamabad Highway, work would be started from Faizabad to Koral Chowk.
In the second phase, the authority will start construction work between Faizabad to Koral Chowk while in the third phase focus will be on Koral Chowk to Rawat.
Maroof said that 25 km-long Highway project from Zero Point to Rawat was being executed in three phases.
“CDA has completed major work on Zero Point to Faizabad while interchange at I-8 crossing and road construction work was in full swing,” he added.
To a query, he said that after completion of work on Islamabad highway expansion project, linking Rawat with Motorway, would be the second project, as there is no other option to enter Islamabad.
Capital Development Authority (CDA) would utilize all available resources and expertise in making Islamabad more beautiful and attractive.
In this connection, civic body is committed to provide open and wide roads to the citizens, he added.
