ISLAMABAD: At least 36 suspects were apprehended during a joint raid of Rangers and police in Islamabad’s Tarnol today (Tuesday).
According to details, security personnel launched a door-to-door search operation and arrested as many as 39 suspects including 16 Afghans.
During door-to-door search, Rangers blocked the entry and exit points in the area and rounded up suspects. Different weapons were also recovered in the action.
During the raids, modern automatic weapons including SMG Rifles and a large number of explosives were recovered from the suspects. The arrested terrorists and criminals have been transferred to an undisclosed location for investigation.
The Rangers spokesperson said that full crackdown against the terrorist elements is ongoing, adding that the operation will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated.
