GENEVA: Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Raza Rabbani on Tuesday said the international forces employed the weapon of terrorism as a tool to further their agenda.
Addressing the 133rd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Raza Rabbani said the international community instead of linking terrorism with a certain religion, nation or group should denounce it on every level and forum.
The Chairman Senate said the governments, society and media of the west projected the issue of terrorism in a flawed manner.
Raza Rabbani said Pakistan has so far lost the lives of 62,000 citizens in the fight against terrorism while at the same time incurred a huge loss of 107 billion dollars in the protracted battle.
