Since China has played a important role in Afghan peace, what influence do you think the visit will bring to Afghan?
Although it is not sure whether President Xi will discuss Afghan issue with President Obama, US has ended its combat mission by the end of 2014, and Afghan has entered 10-year transition, facing a series of challenges in terms of security, economy and national conciliation. As Afghan’s good neighbor, China support “Afghan-led and Afghan-owned” political reconciliation, and is willing to play a constructive role for Afghan’s future reconciliation, prosperity, and development. Chinabelieves that Afghan can gain success in politics and economy, and Afghan’s domestic situation will be gradually improved. Great efforts should be made to solve people’s livelihood problem, strengthen Afghan’s military and defense abilities, and enable Afghan government and Taliban to reach agreement, promoting Afghan to early realize peace, stability and development.
