ISLAMABAD- Chinese journalists have said that COMSATS Institute of Information Technology is emerging as a very component in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC) as it is very successfully enhancing the trade and business relation between Chinese and Pakistani business communities by holding mega Pakistan-China Business Expo every year which is seeing a splendid growth and the same would become a very important segment for CPEC in coming years.
They expressed these views while visiting COMSATS Institute of Information Technology here yesterday as part of Pakistan-China Media Friendship Association, led by the Chairman of the Association Makhdoom Babar who is also the President and Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Mail, the Chinese delegation of China’s Yunan Daily Press Group Kunming,Yunnan Province China was comprising Mr. Wang Xufei, Director of Comments/editorial section ,Mr.Zhang Tong, Deputy Director of Photography Department, Mr. Yang Zhihui, Reporter, Mr. Zu Hongbing, Reporter and Ms. Lian Huiling Reporter of The Spring City Evening News. The delegation had arrived from China on the invitation of The Daily Mail to hold high level interviews over CPEC and One Belt-One Road.
Chinese delegation highly praised the endeavors of COMSATS that it was carrying out to promote not only the business ties between China and Pakistan but also for promotion of ties in the field of education and IT. Head of the Chinese media team Mr. Wang Xufei said that he and his team were very much impressed by the high standard of education that COMSATS was maintaining and the level of increase in its students enrollment was a clear proof of the credibility and high standards of education that the Institute was maintaining. He said that the rapidly increasing number of participants at COMSATS annual feature of Pakistan-China Business Expo was also a glaring example of the ability of COMSATS to hold such mega events with immense success and productivity. He said that the holding of Mega IT expo by COMSATS at Shenzhen (China)with the collaboration of Pakistan Consulate at Guangzhou was yet another proof of the growing credibility and popularity of COMSATS across China. He also paid special tributes to Professor Dr, Qaisar Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Business Sciences who has been the brain behind holding Pakistan-China Business Expos and said that his efforts were not only playing a very pivotal role in enhancing Sino-Pak ties but were also earning COMSATS a great popularity and credibility for COMSATS across China.
Earlier, Pro Rector of COMSATS Dr. Muhammad Haroon Rasheed and his team received the delegation at COMSATS and briefed the delegation about the history, functioning and future projects of COMSATS. The COMSATS team also briefed the visiting delegation about all the agreements and MoUs that the institute had signed with China.
