Narendra Damodardas Modi is the 15th and current Prime Minister of India. He assumed the mantle of office on 26 May 2014 after leading his political party the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to an unprecedented victory. A rabid Hindu nationalist, and also an active member of the Hindu extremist militant organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Modi is a controversial figure both domestically and internationally. In 2002, he was the Chief Minister of the Indian province of Gujarat, when over two thousand Muslims were brutally massacred in an organized ethnic cleansing of the Muslims in Gujarat.
Hailing from humble origins, as a child Modi helped his father sell tea at the Vadnagar railway station, and later ran a tea stall with his brother near a bus terminus. He completed his early education in Vadnagar in 1967, where a teacher described him as an average student and a keen debater with an interest in theatre. An early gift for rhetoric in debates was noted by teachers and students. Modi preferred playing larger-than-life characters in theatrical productions, which has influenced his political image.
Ever since becoming the Indian Prime Minister, Modi is pursuing a policy of vengeance against Indian Muslims as well as Pakistan. He came with a preconceived plan to destroy Pakistan and crush the Kashmiri Muslims and those residing in other states, as he did in Gujarat in 2002.
Modi’s team of thugs comprises his National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who was caught on tape providing instructions to the TTP militants during the heinous attack on the Army Public School at Peshawar on 16 December 2014 (ironically, a date chosen to coincide with the fall of Dhaka in 1971); Rajinder Khanna, the chief of Indian spy agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and a number of India’s crime underworld’s dons including Chotta Rajan.
Interestingly, a number of confessions are emanating from Indian leaders, including Modi, which are exposing his real face. New Year eve 2015’s alleged “terror boat drama” in which Indian coast guards destroyed a fishing vessel 300 Kms off the coast of the Indian port of Porbander, claiming that it was carrying explosives to conduct a 2008 Mumbai style terror attack and the would be perpetrators of the terror attack blew themselves up along with their boat when apprehended by the Indian coast guard. Pakistan was being blamed for the purported attack.
The exposé came through the Indian psyche of boastfulness when only fifty-six days later Indian Coast Guards’ DIG Loshali, in a televised speech blew the lid off the conspiracy. Loshali claimed credit for sinking the boat stating: “31st December night. I was there at Gandhinagar, and I told at night, blow the boat off. We don’t want to serve them biryani.”
On 23 May 2015, Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, in a shocking and radical statement, asserted that “terrorists have to be neutralized only through terrorists”. This is a virtual admission of India engaging terrorists to create terror in Pakistan, especially Balochistan and the tribal belt.
On 7 June 2015, while on a two day official visit to Bangladesh, Modi received Bangladesh’s Award of Liberation War Honour on behalf of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at a ceremony in Dhaka. Modi could not curb his penchant for theatrics and said that when muktijodhas (freedom fighters) of Bangladesh were shedding blood, Indians too were fighting side-by-side with them and in a way helped realize the dream of Bangladesh. He claimed that he was one of the young volunteers who came to Delhi to participate in a Satyagraha launched by Jana Sangh (now BJP) to support Bangladeshi freedom fighters in 1971.
Indian role in dismembering Pakistan has now come to the fore as well as its support for Awami League, Mukti Bahini and now Sheikh Hasina Wajid. It is no coincidence that after the dismemberment Indira Gandhi had claimed: “Today we have sunk Pakistan’s Two Nation Theory in the Bay of Bengal”. Sheikh Hasina Wajid rode on the coattails of RAW. Her earlier sojourn as Prime Minister (1996-2001) was a failure and she was not reelected. RAW coached her and ensured that she was placed in position in the 2009 elections. This time around India was pulling her strings and like a puppet she was dancing to their tune. The previous regimes in Bangladesh had considered the wounds of parting violently with Pakistan healed but with a vengeance, Sheikh Hasina raked up the old wounds and repeated the over-exaggerated claim of Pakistan Army carrying out genocide of 3 million Bengalis and raping thousands of Bengali women. She demanded an apology from Pakistan and even refused to attend the D-8 conference at Islamabad in November 2012 until Pakistan apologized to Bangladesh for the allegations mentioned earlier. She cracked down on Bangladeshi Jamaat-e-Islami and has been hanging its leaders at the plea that they had supported Pakistan during the Bangladesh liberation movement. Sheikh Hasina awarded 338 foreigners and majority of them Indians for supporting the Bangladesh liberation.
In the 2014 elections, when it became apparent that Sheikh Hasina will not be reelected, turmoil was created with the help of RAW and the opposition boycotted the polls and Sheikh Hasina’s party got a walkover and was declared the winner to continue India’s heinous agenda which includes Pakistan baiting.
At Dhaka Modi took the opportunity to fire broadsides at Pakistan, continuing his tirade of Pakistan being a sponsor of terrorism. He did not even spare China, which he had recently visited seeking financial investments in India. According to India’s Foreign Minister, Modi asked China to desist from constructing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor but was shunned. Reportedly, RAW has accelerated its machinations to sabotage the CPEC. The surgical strikes targeting alleged terrorist camps in Myanmar are with a dual purpose. Firstly, Myanmar is a signatory to the One Belt One Road mega project of China of which CPEC is a part; secondly Indian leadership is threatening Pakistan with a similar fate. Modi is forgetting that Pakistan is a nuclear power and its people and armed forces know how to retaliate if push comes to shove.
