ISLAMABAD: Secretary Cabinet Division informed the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Division that in federal departments and their attached departments 115,000 posts, from grade one to 22, were vacant.
The meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, held here Friday, was presided over by Senator Muhammad Talha Mehmood.
The Secretary Cabinet Division also informed the committee that all record of cabinet division would be computerized in next six months and the department was arranging trainings for officers to improve their skills for betterment of the division.
He said it was need of hour to increase the hostels for women but department is facing the shortage of funds.
The committee recommended the government to provide the required funds for trainings of employees to improve their progress for department.
State Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab assured the committee he would write letter to fulfill vacant posts in federal departments.
The committee was also told that in provinces and Azad Jammu Kashmir officers are given training but in Gilgit Baltistan they are not getting training.
The committee chairman Senator Talha Mahmood asked the Governor Gilgit Baltistan for arranging the training for the officials.
