ISLAMABAD – Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid says Pakistan has no option but to root out terrorism at all costs.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of a four day training workshop at Sihala Police Academy in Islamabad on Friday, he said terrorism is an international phenomenon and collective efforts are required to wipe out this menace.
Pervaiz Rashid pointed out that the terrorists are trying to find new places of refuge after their hideouts dismantled to a great deal in Afghanistan. He said Pakistan’s cooperation in this regard has widely been acknowledged by the United States and Afghanistan.
The Minister said the operation against the terrorists is continuing without any discrimination. The Minister appreciated the sacrifices rendered by the police personnel in the war on terror.
He said the process has been started to depoliticize the police department and made recruitments on merit. Later, the Minister handed over certificates to the participants of the training course.
