PESHAWAR: Country Director United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Mark Andre Franche here Friday inaugurated two development projects with the collaboration of Refugee Infected and Hosting Area Program (RAHA).
The inaugurated projects included construction of additional rooms and lavatories in government Primary Schools Rahimullah Koruna and construction of irrigation channel in Rorewali Gujar Kas area, said a press release issued from regional office UNDP.
Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamshedudin Kakakhel was present of the occasion.
Mark Andre Franche on the occasion said that the projects would benefit the general public at large adding the same process of public development work would be continued in future.
He said that it would be far better if general public would participate in running these projects.
He also praised the hospitality of Pakistani government and its people for accepting Afghan nationals and said that UNDP is endeavoring to share the burden incurred by refugees.
The visiting Country Director was accompanied by the Assistant Country Director Aadil Mansoor, National Project Director Shah Rehman, Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamshedudin Kakakhel, MPA Khaleeq-ur-Rehaman, Advisor to CM for Planning and Development Provincial Program Manager Shukriya Syed, Engr Nageen Khan Infrastructure Coordinator RAHA KP and others government official were present on the occasion.
Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamshedudin Kakakhel, appreciated the efforts of local community for taking full benefits from the resources and opportunities extended from the RAHA Programme in KP.
