DUBAI–Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) held a meeting in Dubai to deliberate on joining Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) led Sindh government. Sources said the meeting allowed its lawmakers in Sindh Assembly to become coalition partner of PPP, conditionally.
It also gave final go-ahead over 60/40 formula, a private television channel reported Sunday. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and MQM leaders Babar Ghauri, Rauf Siddiqui and Faroogh Naseem besides two MQM leaders from London attended the meeting. They also remained in contact with party Chief Altaf Hussain.
It was decided the assurance given by PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari to Altaf Hussain be fulfilled. The sources further the two parties will hold dialogues over 60/40 formula next week after which MQM is likely to make final decision on joining Sindh government.
The 2018 Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) annual conference is scheduled for April 8 to 11 in Boao, Hainan Province. The forum will be themed "An Open and Innovative Asia for a World of Greater Prosperity."
