ISLAMABAD- Islamabad Police have busted a gang of dacoits and also arrested 14 outlaws from various areas of the city besides recovering looted items, weapons and narcotics from their possession, a police spokesman said on Friday.
On a tip off, Station house Officer of Tarnol police station Inspector Mehboob Ahmed along with police team including Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Hafeez and others raided at the hide out dacoits in `Pind Parrian’ and arrested three dacoits.
They were identified as Shafi, Safee and Ashraf awhile police recovered three 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Anti-car lifting cell (ACLC) of Islamabad police recovered three tempered cars(LOY-6937, LWZ- 191and FDU-79) from possession of accused Mushtaq, Tahir and Israr. Aabpar police arrested a drug pusher Faisal and recovered 550 gram hashish from him.
Kohsar police arrested another drug pusher Darvaish and recovered 1.280 kilogram hashish from him while a dagger was recovered from Ahmed Subani. Margalla police arrested two accused namely Saif and Kashif involved in a theft case and recovered mobile phone, UPS, LCD and looted items from their possession.
Sabzi Mandi police arrested Zafran and recovered one 30 bore pistol along with ammunition from him. Shehzad Town police arrested Khalid Satti and recovered one 30 bore pistol from him while CIA police recovered one 30 bore pistols from Arzman Shah. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.
