ISLAMABAD–The biggest hospitals of the federal capital area, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and Poly Clinic are lacking the sufficient security arrangements, due to which the patients and their kin are feeling unsafe.
There is no checking system at PIMS gates and the height of boundary walls is too short to secure the hospital premises.
PIMS has two main gates with only a single security man on each who does nothing accept collecting 10 rupees and giving its receipt to entering persons.
The block houses built on the main gates of PIMS are lonely with no security guard. Other area of the hospital is also unsafe because of the short-heighted boundary walls.
A huge number of baggers can also be seen in the hospital and theft incident often occurs in which baggers stole the belongings of the patients.
About 4000 patients visit Poly Clinic daily but its security arrangements are also not satisfactory.
The height of the boundary walls of the Poly Clinic has been increased by two feet and covered by security wire but the hospital is still insecure because of the missing of security guards at the main gate.
Poly Clinic stands with PIMS in main gate-checking. Both hospitals have ignored the most crucial step of the security system.
