PESHAWAR–Educational institutions have reopened in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after prolonged winter breaks due to security concerns.
Army Public School Peshawar, which was attacked by terrorists on December 16, has also reopened.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif along with his wife visited the Army Public School and met with the students and their parents at the entrance of the school.
The Army Chief appreciated the courage of students and their parents. Students and parents expressed their determination for promotion of education. They expressed satisfaction over the security arrangements.
The COAS also met the parents and said this nation is unbeatable. Everyone was in high spirit on the occasion.
Later the Army Chief along with his wife joined students in the morning assembly and recited dua (prayer) and national anthem with them.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Islamabad Police Tahir Alam said security alert system has been installed at the schools.
