ISLAMABAD–Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) management Saturday formed a seven-member committee to probe alleged abduction of a newly-born child from maternity ward.
According to PIMS spokesperson Dr. Ayesha, Professor Abid Farooqui would lead the team while head of children ward and security chief are also included in the probe committee.
The team would submit its report after concluding its finding in three days, she said.
Parents of the abducted child said that an unknown woman had taken their child, accusing the hospital staffers of their involvement in kidnapping. The family members had taken to streets over abduction and blocked Faisal Avenue for traffic.
