ISLAMABAD–The celebrations to commemorate the birth anniversary of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) are continuing in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad by organizing ‘Mahafil-e-Milad’ in homes, mosques and open places. The celebrations which started with the advent of blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awal were at the peak on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, however these will continue till the end of the Islamic month.
The Governmental and non governmental organizations are also organizing events to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Mahafil-e-Milad is a best way to express love and reverence to the Prophet (PBUH), said a Naat Khawan before reciting a Naat in a congregation organized by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) on Thursday night.
Muhammad Tariq, a resident of G-10/3, said that he organizes Mahafil-e-Milad every year at his house and invites all his kith and kins on the occasion.
He said that at the end of Mahafil, he offered a delicious meal to all the participants with a sweet dish. The house hold women are too inclined in organizing Mahafil-e- Milad in their surroundings with zeal and zest.
A lady opined that all Muslims should unite and celebrate it together for paying homage to the beloved Prophet (PBUH). In this connection, the prayer leaders have been giving special sermons regarding various aspects of the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on Friday prayer.
