ISLAMABAD : Chairman CDA, Maroof Afzal has directed the concerned formations of the Authority to carry out construction work on more alternate routes to overcome the traffic problems affected due to the Metro Bus Service project.
Following the directions of the chairman, the Engineering Wing of CDA has formally started the necessary repair and maintenance work on alternative road at Sector H-8 adjacent to Kashmir Highway. This route will facilitate the commuters to ease the burden of traffic. A senior official in Engineering Wing of the civic body told media
that CDA has started repair work on roads, affected or damaged due to the ongoing construction work on Islamabad section of Metro Bus Service project.
The existing roads closed due to the project would also be repaired.
In first phase, repair and maintenance work on the roads has been
started in Sector G-8 and G-9. Similarly, different square would also be repaired, which have been closed due to Metro Bus Service project.
The concerned formations of the Authority have commenced repair work
on Express chowk at Jinnah Avenue to restore it for smooth flow of traffic.
Similarly, CDA is further improving the alternative routes, designed
to accommodate traffic affected due to the Metro Bus Service project.
