ISLAMABAD : The fourth cohort comprising of nine young graduates, scholars and faculty members of National University of Modern Languages (NUML) received their tickets and health cardsto attend a two-month long UNT-NUML Research Fellowship program at UNT, America.
Rector Maj Gen (R), Masood Hasan and Director General (DG) Brig Azam Jamal handed over the tickets and health insurance cards to eight (8) female and one male PhD and M.Phil scholars of English Studies Department, said a press release received here on Wednesday.
This group of nine selected scholars of NUML will proceed to University of North Texas (UNT) on January 22, 2015.
This cohort is proceeding to UNT under Research Fellowship Program which is part of a three-year long academic partnership between NUML and UNT to boost the research and academic culture in the University.
A total of 18 graduates and 26 faculty members have attended the fellowship program so far.
Talking to faculty members, Rector Maj Gen (R) Masood Hasan said this opportunity was a trust for scholars to learn and
assimilate latest research and pedagogic practices at UNT and then apply them to your own environment and class.

These scholars, who are at advanced stage of their PhD/M.Phil
programs, would conduct their dissertations or research projects
under the supervision of American supervisors at UNT.
They would also observe graduate and under graduate classes
studying research, have extensive interactive sessions, and
participate in cultural events under this Partnership-Fellowship
