Most of the recovered drugs were to consigned to foreign destinations, said an ANF press release here Wednesday.
ANF Quetta conducted a successful intelligence led operation and seized 3281 kg charas (Garda) from uninhabited area of Killi Habib Zai, Dashti Loorah, Tehsil Gulistan, District Qilla Abdullah. The consignment was hidden at a deserted site situated in the cuttings of mountainous terrain, outside the populated area. Charas was stuffed in 70 plastic bags.
The consignment was reportedly to be handed over to some other narco-gang for onward transfer to some overseas destination via sea route from the coastal belt of Baluchistan.
An ANF Peshawar team on a tip-off seized a Suzuki pick-up (KM-2559) at Kacha Paka Bazar, Hangu Road, Kohat. During its search, 40.8 kg charas packed in 34 polythene packets was recovered.
Three persons on board namely Shahzad Ali, Syed Naheed Hussain, both
residents of Kohat and Anab Ali resident of Orakzai Agency were arrested.
As per initial investigations, they were transporting drugs from Orakzai
Agency to Kohat for local consumption.
ANF Peshawar also intercepted a Suzuki Mehran car (FDU-1900) near
Zam-Zama Hotel, DT Road, Abbottabad and recovered 6 kg charas concealed in it. Three accused Niaz Muhammad, Abdullah and Saleh Muhammad were
taken into custody. All the accused belonged to Peshawar, while accused Saleh Muhammad was an Afghan national. Drugs were being taken
to Abbotabad City for local use.
In another operation, ANF Peshawar stopped a suspected Islamabad

Toll Plaza, Peshawar, searched a passenger van No. LES-5255 and recovered 800 gram charas from the possession of passenger Hameed Ullah resident of Peshawar. The accused was heading towards Rawalpindi for delivery of drugs to a local peddler.
ANF Rawalpindi recovered 2 kg charas from personal possession of Gul
Madar Khan resident of Peshawar and Gul Jan resident of Kohat after intercepting them at Tarki Toll Plaza, Jhelum Road, District Jhelum. They were riding on a motorcycle to hand over the drugs to some street peddler in a nearby locality.
An ANF Lahore Airport team during routine profiling detained a passenger Waqas Ahmed, resident of Sialkot, at Sialkot Airport on suspicion of having gulped heroin filled capsules. During interrogation, the accused confessed of having heroin filled capsules in his stomach. The accused intended to board for Milan (Italy) via Dubai by Emirates Airline Flight No. EK-621. Later on, the accused was admitted to Allama Iqbal Hospital, Sialkot for recovery of capsules.
