Reading out the resolution at the conclusion of the meeting of national parliamentary parties leaders here in the backdrop of Tuesday’s militant attack at the army-run school, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said action against militants would be taken indiscriminately wihtout any distinction between good or bad Taliban.
He said it was unanimously decided to form a parliamentary committee, headed by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan to chalk out national plan of action in seven days and present it before the national leadership.
The Premier said the government would present the national plan of action before the nation after consultations with military leadership.
He thanked the national leaders particularly Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for attending the meeting despite having difference with the government.
He said military operation Zarb-e-Azb, launched in June, was against all the terrorists without discrimination, adding that it had unraveled terrorists’ network and destroyed their hideouts.
Nawaz said the results of operation Zarb-e-Azb were encouraging.
“We want peace in Pakistan, Afghanistan and the entire region’, he said and added that he would not let anyone use Pakistani soil against others.
To a question, Nawaz Sharif said the government had written a letter to the Supreme Court for the proposed judicial commission on the demand of Imran Khan.
He said it was vital for all to set aside differences after Peshawar school carnage. He said all the issues could be resolved through dialogue.
On the occasion, Imran Khan said differences with government were not personal. He added that all the parties in the parliament were of the view that rigging was committed in the general elections.
“I will accept if Judicial Commission finds no poll rigging”, he said and added that despite all the differences they all were united against terrorism.
