RAWALPINDI–Army Chief General Raheel Sharif arrived in Peshawar after cutting short his Quetta visit and reiterated the Army’s resolve to “go after [the] inhuman beasts, their facilitators, till their final elimination.”
The Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) comments were shared by Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa who had been sharing updates regarding the operation.
The COAS termed the attack a “ghastly act of cowardice” adding that “killing innocents clearly indicates [that] they are not only enemies of Pakistan but enemies of humanity.”
The Army Chief who had been in Quetta attending a passing out parade, expressed his sadness and reiterated the army’s resolve. He added, that the terrorists “have hit at the heart of the nation, but let me reiterate they can’t in any way diminish the will of this great nation.”
