ISLAMABAD – Minister of State Barrister Usman Ibrahim of Capital Administration & Development Division chaired a follow up meeting Thursday on changing evening shifts to morning sessions.
As promised evening shift has been abolished in 5 model colleges namely IMCB H8 and IMCB H9 (abolished last week), IMCB I8/3, IMCB F10/3 and IMCB G11/1 would be abolished this week and students of evening shifts would be accommodated in morning sessions of these schools/colleges, Stated the Minister of State. He said that we are in process of abolishing evening shifts in model colleges gradually, as it’s not the matter of a day or two.
State Minister has directed the officials to prepare PC-I to construct additional classrooms for the evening shifts’ students, in the available space in the rest of the 15 model colleges and submit it to the ministry next week for the approval. Survey has been conducted and feasibility report has already been prepared for it. Moreover acquiring land for building new model colleges in new sectors namely G13, G14 and G15 has also in the pipeline.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary CADD, Joint Secretary CADD, Director Model Colleges, Director Colleges, and Assistant Education Adviser.
