Govt to extend co-op with Libya

ISLAMABAD—The Libyan Ambassador Ibrahim Al-Abid Mukhtar called on the Advisor to Prime Minister on Religious Affairs Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi here in the ministry.
The Advisor while meeting the Ambassador has said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relations with Islamic Republic of Libya and wanted to expand it in all sectors including economy.
They discussed various matters of mutual and bilateral interests with the special reference to International Conference being convened by World Muslim Call Society at Tripoli Libya on October 27. The Ambassador invited the Advisor to attend the Conference as scholars from all over the world would attend the conference. The Advisor promised to attend the conference despite of his busy schedule due to Hajj Affairs.
The Ambassador prayed for the prosperity and progress of Pakistan and said that relation between the two countries under the PPP led government would be further strengthened. He said that Pakistan and Libya relations were deep rooted which could not be effected by any interest or change of politics.
