Pakistan to
send relief goods to China
ISLAMABAD—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday said
Pakistan will send relief goods including medicines, blankets etc. to
China for the earthquake affectees.
The Prime Minister, in a Radio and Television message, also offered to
send a make-shift hospital to help the earthquake affectees in China. He
expressed his deep shock and grief over the loss of precious lives in
the tragic earthquake that hit China on Monday. “The Pakistani nation
and the government share the grief of people and government of China in
this critical hour”, he added. Prime Minister Gilani condoled with the
people and government of China on behalf of the government and people of
Pakistan as well as on behalf of PPP. “The federal cabinet has also
expressed its grief over this tragic happening,” he said. The Prime
Minister also mentioned the strong and deep-rooted relations that exist
between Pakistan and China and said, “China is a time-tested friend of
Pakistan. We have strong relations with China which are continuing from
generation to generation.
