‘Future strategy to be announced on May 17 in lawyers’ convention’

ISLAMABAD—Expressing disappointment over failure of political parties to restore deposed judges, President Islamabad Bar Association (IBA), Haroon Rashid said that the lawyers’ fraternity would devise their future strategy in All Pakistan Lawyers Convention to be held on May 17 in Lahore.
Talking to Online with Senior lawyers of Rawalpindi High Court, Syed Anwar Ahmad Shah and MNA Rehan Advocate, the President IBA said with the confidence that the lawyers would accept the decisions and the movement would succeed.
He said that the representatives of Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) would also attend the lawyers’ convention and the lawyers under the new strategy would take out rallies with a new spirit and the proceeding of the Supreme Court and all other courts would be boycotted. The deposed judges would again address to all the bars of the country, he added.
Haroon Rashid said that if the Parliament delayed the restoration of deposed judges then the lawyers community with all available sources would make the movement successful for the judges’ restoration and ensuring the implementation of the constitution. He urged the incumbent government and members parliament to take the decision in accordance with the aspirations of people of the country and maintain the law and order and pay the attention on other issues facing by the country.
