FBISE contradicts paper leakage news

ISLAMABAD—The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has described the news published in section of press as incorrect and baseless that question paper of Chemistry of HSSC Part-1 was leaked or changed just one day prior to the examination commencement.
“It is categorically denied that the question paper of Chemistry in HSSC Part-I examination held on 13 May, 2008 was leaked or changed by the Board for any reason whatsoever. The news story is a factual misstatement and absolutely incorrect and baseless” Muzaffar ul Hassan Controller of Exams said in a press release issued here on Wednesday. The Board regretted that no prior confirmation or verification of the story was sought from the Board or its senior officials who were present in the Board till at least 1700 hours on 13th May, 2008, he added. He said that the Board had, as per its secrecy policy and standards, made foolproof arrangements for the secrecy of its question papers including that of Chemistry in HSSC Part-1 Examination held on 13th May, 2008.
He said the entire top management of the Board (including the Chairman, Controller of Examination, Director Research/Academics and Secretary of the Board) were throughout present in the office monitoring the conduct of exam on 13th May, 2008 till at least 1700 hours. He said no report from any quarter whatsoever of any incident of leakage of question paper of Chemistry was made to or received by the Board.
